One of these gestures is called Tap to Check Phone. As the name suggests, this feature works by letting you check notifications when your phone is locked by simply tapping the screen.

To get started, launch the Settings app menu by tapping on the gear icon from the Apps tray of your phone.
Simply swipe your finger up from the bottom of the Home screen to launch the Apps tray and view all apps shortcuts including Settings.In the Settings menu, find then tap Display.
