To check and see how it works, press the Side/Power key of your phone to lock it then let the phone rest on the table or any flat surface. Give it a few moments to rest then lift it up afterwards. The moment you lift the phone up, you should see that the screen lights up and the lockscreen information becomes visible.

Lift to Check Phone Not Working?

People who have encountered problems using Lift to Check Phone and Tap to Check Phone gestures have managed to fix the problem by rebooting the phone in Safe Mode then clearing data from the Phone app.

Resetting the Phone app preferences can also be deemed a potential solution in case clearing the Phone app cache and data doesn’t resolve the issue.

And that’s how you activate the Lift to Check Phone gesture on the Google Pixel 7 smartphone.
