It is important that you can determine why this problem is happening because even if you were able to fix it now, there is no guarantee it won’t happen again after a few days. Knowing the issue is key to fixing it properly. So, I will walk you through in troubleshooting your Galaxy S10 that can’t connect to Wifi. Here’s what you should do:

First solution: Force restart your phone

There are times when a glitch affecting network services happens and when it does, this kind of problem could be just one of the symptoms you may experience. Fortunately, glitches are pretty easy to fix regardless how annoying they are and the most effective method against them is the Forced Restart.

It will refresh your phone’s memory as well as reload all its apps and services. Most of the time, doing such procedure is more than enough to fix the glitches. To do this on your Galaxy S10, press and hold the volume down and power keys together for 10 seconds or more. Your phone will reboot and once it becomes active, try to reconnect to the same WiFi network. If the phone still can’t connect to WiFi, then try the next solution.

There are times when these devices ceases to broadcast WiFi signal especially if there are some external interference. But don’t worry, such problem isn’t serious because just by power-cycling them, the problem would already be solved.

Unplug your router or modem and leave it without power for a minute or two. After which, plug it back into the outlet and wait for it to start broadcasting its SSID and then allow your phone to reconnect. If your Galaxy S10 still can’t connect to WiFi, then move on to troubleshooting the network settings.

Third solution: Reset Galaxy S10 network settings

This procedure will reset your phone’s network capabilities as well as bring the settings back to factory defaults. When it comes to network-related problems, this procedure is very effective. It’s because the wireless functionality of your phone is reliant to its settings. Everything must be correct and in order so that it can receive signal and can connect to the network.

  • Background data sync settings will be turned on.
  • Data restrictive settings in applications that were manually turned on/off by the customer will be reset to the default setting.

Fourth solution: Delete the system cache

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
  3. When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
  4. An ‘Installing system update’ message will show for 30 – 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
  5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
  6. Press Power key to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
  8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Fifth solution: Reset Galaxy S10 that can’t connect to WiFi

As long as there are no signs of physical or liquid damage, this kind of problem can be fixed by a reset. You only have to do this if resetting the network settings and replacing the system cache didn’t fix the problem.

A reset will delete every third-party file or personal information from your phone. Make sure to create a backup of things you don’t want to lose as you may not be able to retrieve them after the reset. Once you’ve done that, follow these steps to reset your phone:

  1. Back up data on the internal memory. If you have signed into a Samsung account on the device, you have activated Anti-theft and will need your Samsung credentials to finish the master reset.
  2. Turn off the device.
  3. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
  4. When the green Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset’.
  6. Press Power button to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted.
  8. Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
  9. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  10. Press the Power key to restart the device.
