Modern Samsung smartphones are capable of storing different types of information in a dedicated database. The built-in Contacts app on the Galaxy Z Flip4 for instance, has a repository of all your previous phone calls including core details such as the phone numbers of the people you’ve contacted within the 30-day period.

This feature is disabled by default and thus requires manual activation in order to use it. If you’re new to this phone and wondering how to access and enable this feature on your recently acquired Samsung Flip smartphone, feel free to refer to these outlined instructions.

  1. To get started, go to the Home screen or Apps screen then tap the Settings icon.

Just look for the gear-shaped icon then tap on it to access the Settings app menu. You can also launch the Settings app through the quick settings panel.

  2. In the Settings menu, scroll to find then tap Apps.

Another menu opens with a list of all pre-installed and downloaded applications.

  3. Scroll to find Contacts from the list of apps then tap on it to continue.

To speed up your search, you can just use the quick search icon on the tap-right corner of the Apps screen then type Contacts in the provided search field.
Select the Contacts app from the search results then wait until you’ll get to the Contacts app info screen.

  4. In the Contacts App Info menu, tap Contacts settings.

Doing so will take you to another screen with all available settings for the Contacts app.

  5. Find the Show frequently contacted option. This feature is disabled by default. To enable it, simply tap to turn the switch ON.

When enabled, your phone would be able to show who you’ve contacted more often based on the last 30-day record.

Manage Settings via Contacts App

You can also access and manage the Contacts settings by launching the Contacts app on your Samsung phone. While in the Contacts app main screen, tap on the Menu icon (three short bar lines) located on the top-left corner, right above the contacts list. On the side menu, tap the Gear icon on the top-right corner. That will take you to the Contact settings menu where you can view existing settings for the app including the Show frequently contacted option.

This feature could come in handy when keeping track of your phone usage and activity.

You can always turn the feature OFF again whenever you decide not to use it anymore. Just repeat the same steps to return to the Contacts settings where you can find the switch to turn Show Frequently Contacted feature off again.

Filter Calls with Samsung Phone App

You can also make use of the Phone app’s filter calls feature to sort all your calls and messages including missed calls, rejected calls, outgoing calls and incoming calls.

To use this feature, just open the Phone app then tap Recents. In the Recents tab, tap the Menu (three bars) icon on the top right side. Doing so opens the Filter calls menu with various options.

And that’s how you configure a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 to show all your frequently contacted numbers in the last 30 days.
