One way to keep track of your phone’s battery usage is to have the battery percentage showing on the status bar. While some phones don’t show this information in the battery status icon, other devices including Google’s newest Pixel flagship series do.

If by any chance your Pixel 7 does not display the battery percentage on its status bar, then it’s likely because the feature is disabled. Should this be the case, you’ll need to enable it manually through the Battery settings.
In case you need some input on how to access and change this setting, just refer to these subsequent steps.

  1. When ready, navigate to the Home screen then tap the Settings icon. Just look for the gear-shaped image then tap on it to access the app. Alternatively, you can swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to access the Apps screen then launch the Settings app from there.

Either way will take you to the same settings menu where you can see a list of all preloaded features and functions you can use and configure.

  2. In the Settings menu, scroll down a bit then tap Battery.

Beneath the screen is the main toggle for Battery percentage.

  3. In the Battery settings menu, you’ll see the phone’s battery usage for the past 24 hours along with other battery-related features such as Battery saver and Adaptive preferences.

Beneath the screen is the main toggle for Battery percentage.

  4. If the switch is turned OFF, the battery percentage is not displayed on the status bar.

To show this battery information on the status bar of your phone, simply tap to turn on the switch next to Battery percentage.

The recent changes will immediately be applied and take effect in the system. That said, you should then see the equivalent percentage of the remaining battery of your device displayed next to the battery icon on the status bar.

Should you wish to hide this information on your phone’s status bar, just repeat the same steps to return to the Battery settings menu then tap to turn the Battery percentage switch OFF.

And that’s all about displaying the Battery percentage on the Google Pixel 7.
