Hard reset is a term used to describe the process of factory resetting your device using your hardware keys to it’s default settings. We will show you how to perform a hard reset on a Samsung Galaxy S9.

- Tap Settings.
- Tap General Management.
- Tap Reset
- If your phone is password protected, you’ll be prompted to enter your Pattern, PIN, or Password.
- Tap Factory data reset

- Turn your Samsung Galaxy S8 OFF by holding the Power Button
- Press and hold the Volume Up and the Bixby and Power buttons at the same time for a few seconds.

- The Installing System Update and No Command screen should pop up. Wait a few seconds until the blue screen disappears and the android boot menu shows up.

- Select Reboot System Now. The phone will then reboot to its factory settings.
- The Samsung Galaxy S9 will restart.
- You will now have to go through the initial setup and configuration
- Turn your Samsung Galaxy S8 OFF by holding the Power Button
