How to Configure APN Settings on your Android: Guide

For the internet service to work properly on your device, you need to configure APN settings or also known as the “Access Point Names“. This can be done from the Settings menu on your device. Read further and we will walk you through the process.

Configure APN Settings on your Android

Android is available on many devices and different versions exist in the market. Some of the names and information or settings below may vary depending on the device you have.

  1. Tap on Settings > Wireless & Networks/More… > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
  2. Once on the APN screen, press the Options button on the device.
  3. Tap on New APN.
  4. Enter your APN settings.
  5. Press the Options button on your device, tap on Save in order to save the APN settings.
  6. Restart the phone and try browsing the Internet.

NOTE: The created APN will show up in the APNs screen after you have saved it. To activate the APN, tap on the radio button located in front of the APN.

After you have successfully configured the APN settings and the mobile data is already enabled, open and internet-operated app to check if you are able to connect to the network. If it is giving you error messages like “internet not available”, “can’t access the internet”, and the likes, restart your Android phone and try to connect again.

You should be able to access the internet after you turn your device off and on again.
