How to Display Battery Percentage on Google Pixel

Tracking your battery level can be easy by simply seeing the percentage on your phone. But by default, it is usually hidden and your phone will only show the battery icon. To display battery percentage, you will need to access your phone’s Settings app and go to Battery. Then turn on Battery percentage.

If you can see the battery percentage on your device rather than just relying on the batter logo meter, it will be easier for you to determine whether to charge your phone or not yet.

But if you are not familiar with the entire process, I have mapped out the step by step guide below. Just read further and find out how to display the battery percentage on your Google Pixel device.

Solution

By default the Google Pixel displays only the battery logo, without the battery percentage in the Android status bar. Here is how you manually turn on the battery percentage in your status bar on the Google Pixel:

  • First you have to enable the “System UI Tuner” feature. To do this, swipe down your notification bar and hold the Settings icon for 5 seconds.
You will then see “System UI Tuner” is enabled.
(the wrench icon will appear beside your settings icon)
  • Once you have enabled System UI Tuner, go to Settings > System UI Tuner.
  • Tap on Status bar.
  • Tap on Battery > Always show percentage.
  • Your battery percentage should now appear in your Google Pixel at all times!

For any reason that your phone will not show the battery percentage, try to turn it off for at least 30 seconds then turn it back on. If you need further help, simply contact Google Pixel support.
