How to Activate “OK Google” Voice Command on LG Smartphone

Activate “OK Google” Voice Command on LG Smartphone

If your “OK Google” voice command isn’t working, unresponsive, or has yet to be activated, read this post as we walk you through the process. This is applicable to LG phones such as LG G2, LG G3, or LG G4.

Workaround:

  • Open your “Google” app and tap on the three bars on the top left.
  • Select Settings >Voice > “Ok Google” Detection.
  • Make sure “From Google Search app” and “From any screen” are both toggled ON.
  • Go back <- into Voice and make sure Language is set to English (US).

You should now be able to use the “OK Google” voice command on your LG G4, LG G3 or LG G2. You can start using Google Assistant without tapping the microphone icon on your device. All you need to do is say “OK, Google,” or “Hey, Google,” followed by your commands.
