How to Fix “No Service” on your Samsung Galaxy

If you’re trying to fix “No Service” on your Samsung Galaxy, try restarting your device first. Then  you can enable and disable the Airplane mode, select network operators manually, check your SIM card or wipe out your device through factory reset.

A no service error can be due to server maintenance on your network provider’s end or a signal reception issue on your device. This means that your phone is not getting proper signal or could be an interference.

Normally, your device will search for networks automatically. But in some cases, system glitches can block signal reception and could result in a no service prompt. Faulty SIM card connectors can also cause relevant symptoms to occur.

Workaround

Here are a couple things you can try to fix this “No Service” issue on your Samsung Galaxy phone:

  • Power off your device completely, then power it back on.
  • Go to Settings > More Networks… > Mobile Networks.
    • Tap on Network Mode. Make sure the top (auto connect) option is selected.
    • Then select Network operators and tap Search networks.
    • Once the search is complete, select your Carrier. Test your device.
  • Turn off your smartphone. Open the back and pull the battery and sim card out. Wipe the Sim card with a clean dry cloth and insert them back, then power on your device.
  • Try performing a factory reset. This will clear complex system errors that may have been blocking the signal reception on your phone. Click here to factory reset your Samsung Galaxy.
