Solution
Voice-to-text on iPhone lets you tap on the “mic” icon while messaging to dictate what you wish to write instead of typing it down. This feature is useful for situations where you need your hands free and still want to send that reply on time! Here’s how you can activate your Voice-to-text feature on iPhone 8, or clear any issues that might be causing it to stop working.
If you simply wish to enable the voice-to-text feature on your iPhone 8, you can skip this part. If you’re having issues using the Voice-to-text function on your iPhone 8, here’s what you can do:
- Go to Settings > General > Siri and turn Siri OFF.
- Perform a Soft Reset of your iPhone 8 by performing the following:
- Press and release the Volume Up button, then press and release the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
- Once you see the Apple logo let go of all buttons and your iPhone will restart .
- Press and release the Volume Up button, then press and release the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
- Once your iPhone is back on, go back into Settings > General > Siri and turn it back ON.
