Fixing a Galaxy A50 that got stuck on logo
Generally, firmware issues are easy to fix and I hope that we’d be able to fix this problem for you in this post. Here’s what you need to do if your Galaxy A50 gets stuck on logo…
First solution: Force restart your Galaxy A50
We don’t know the reason why your phone gets stuck on logo so you must begin your troubleshooting by doing the forced restart. There are times when minor firmware issues may result in a crash that would corrupt the cache and some data files. When this happens, either your phone won’t turn on or can’t continue booting up. To do this, press the volume down button and the power key at the same time and hold them both for 10 seconds or until the logo shows up. Most of the time this procedure will fix issues like this provided they’re not serious.
If the phone continues to boot up after this, then problem solved! However, there’s no guarantee that it won’t happen again in the future. At least, now you know what to do should you encounter the same problem again.
On the other hand, if your phone still gets stuck on logo even after doing the forced restart procedure, then try the next procedure.

Second solution: Try starting the phone up in Safe mode
There are instances wherein applications can cause issues in the system and may lead to booting issues like this. While we don’t know which app is the culprit, the best thing you can do for now is to try and start the phone up in Safe Mode. This will temporarily disable all third-party applications and if one of them is preventing the phone from booting up successfully, then it should be able to start into this mode. Here’s how you do it:
- Turn the device off.
- Press and hold the Power key past the model name screen appearing on the screen.
- When SAMSUNG appears on the screen, release the Power key.
- Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
- Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
- When Safe mode appears in the bottom left corner of the screen, release the Volume down key.
If your Galaxy A50 successfully booted up into this mode, then it means that there was a third-party application that prevented it from working normally. From this mode, try to restart the phone to see if it can boot successfully into the standard mode. If it can, then continue using your phone and observe closely to know which of your apps is the culprit. But if it still gets stuck on logo while rebooting into standard mode, then repeat the procedure to reboot in safe mode once again. This time, try to find out which of your apps is causing the problem and uninstall it.
I know it would be a challenge determining the culprit but the good thing is that if you really can’t find the app that’s causing this ruckus, then you always have the option to factory reset your phone. That should fix the problem.
On the other hand, if your phone couldn’t continue booting up into Safe Mode, then you should try the next procedure.

Third solution: Try starting the phone up in Recovery Mode
The recovery mode is considered the fail-safe for almost all Android devices. It’s because even if your phone has some firmware issues, it may still be able to restart into this mode and you can actually perform several procedures that have a big impact on the performance of your phone. But the two most important procedures you can do while in this mode are wipe cache partition and master reset.
Since your phone couldn’t boot up successfully into safe mode, try these steps instead:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
- When the logo displays, release all keys.
If your phone has successfully entered the recovery mode, then proceed to wiping the cache partition:
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.
It will take a little longer for the phone to reboot after this so wait for it for a little while. If it’s still stuck on logo, then you should try doing the Master Reset. But you should know that all your files and data will be deleted if you did this but you really don’t have much of a choice. If you can fix the problem with this, then you may continue using your phone but you won’t still be able to retrieve your lost files and data. If the issue isn’t fixed, at least you’ve already deleted all your personal information and you don’t have to worry about your privacy if you decided to bring it to the shop. Here’s how to master reset your Galaxy A50:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up and Power keys.
- When the Galaxy A10 logo shows, release all three keys.
- Your Galaxy A10 will continue to boot up into the Recovery Mode. Once you see a black screen with blue and yellow texts, proceed to the next step.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset’.
- Press Power button to select.
- Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes’ is highlighted.
- Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
- When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.
