How to Block Calls on a BlackBerry Passport

To block calls on a Blackberry Passport phone, open Phone app and swipe down from the top of the screen. Select Settings and tap Call Blocking. Select your blocking option and enter a password. Tap OK and call blocking has been set up.

Being able to block calls is an important feature on a smartphone. It allows you to have some sort of privacy. It will also remove deviations whenever you have an important matter to attend and don’t want to receive a call from someone else.

How-to

The BlackBerry Passport comes with a feature that lets you block all incoming calls integrated into the BlackBerry10 OS, however it doesn’t include the ability to block specific numbers individually. If you wish to block only a specific number, you will have to resort to third-party call blocking apps available on the BlackBerry World app store.

To block calls on your BlackBerry Passport:

  • Open your Phone app and tap on Settings located in the top right (You can swipe downwards from the top of the screen to have the button appear).
  • Tap on Call Blocking.
  • You can then choose what you wish to block (Block All Incoming/Block All While Roaming…)

You can also choose to only allow calls from numbers in your Contact list. If you wish to block a specific number, then you can remove that number from your contact list and it will be blocked as well. Here’s how to use this method:

  • Go to Settings > Security and Privacy > Parental Controls.
  • Turn on Parental Controls and then you can select “Phone calls from contacts only.
