What To Do When Apple iPhone Unable To Install iOS 13.1

Less than a week ago iOS 13 was released by Apple but just 5 days after the launch, Apple again released a new operating system iOS 13.1. The new iOS 13 was launched for stability improvements, performance issues and to fix bugs for the newest iPhone Software. When trying to update to iOS 13.1, however, some users are prompt with “Unable to install update” “An error occurred installing iOS 13.1”. What to do then you’ll see errors like this? Read on for the potential solutions below.

HERE ARE POTENTIAL SOLUTIONS ON WHAT TO DO WHEN APPLE iPHONE IS UNABLE TO INSTALL iOS 13.1

Solution 1: Check network connection to make sure that your iPhone is connected to the Internet

One of the requirements when updating your software is having a strong and stable wifi signal. WiFi bar signal can be found at the upper left corner of your Apple iPhone next to your cellular network. If you’re getting less than 3 bars on the signal, transfer to another location to get the strongest signal possible. Another thing, make sure the cellular data connection is enabled  with a reliable coverage. Sometimes having poor connection could be the cause of getting errors when updating to iOS 13.1

Solution 2: Insufficient Storage on device

Although Apple has made update size smaller over the years, it can take up most of our storage space. Along with the downloaded apps, more photos and videos, music and movies using most of its storage space throughout your iPhone’s usage, it can lead to low storage space and cannot install iOS 13.

To check available space left:

  • Go to “Settings” from the Home Screen.
  • Tap on “iPhone Storage”.

You will see the list of Apps and how much storage space are they using on your iPhone. You can now manually delete the apps and games  that you are no longer using or that are unnecessary.

Solution 3: Force restart your iPhone

To cut off the current power cycle, forcing to restart your iPhone can sometimes help solve the error when installing the update. To do this simply:

  1. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button.
  2. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
