To be able to receive emergency alerts is important since we cannot predict when calamities strike. However, there are instances when we just need to turn them off for a few hours or so.

Go back to the Home Screen and tap Settings.
This will open the Settings app that allows you to change some settings and features in your iPhone.Find and tap Notifications.
This will open the menu that allows you to manipulate the notifications of your device as well as that of some apps.Scroll down to the Emergency Alerts section.
You will have to scroll all the way down to find it.Tap the switch next to AMBER alerts to disable it.
It will disable alerts broadcasted by your country or government or alerts involving imminent threats to safety or life and extreme weather conditions.Tap the switch next to Emergency Alerts to disable it.
This will turn off emergency alerts, which are often received more than the Amber alerts.
