With Secure Folder, you can keep all your sensitive information and content in a separate location that's protected and inaccessible by other people. In this folder, you can put all your favorite apps so you can use them in different contexts.

To make use of this feature on your new Samsung Galaxy Flip 4, you'll need to set it up beforehand. Just follow these steps whenever you need help in the process.

  1. 1. To get started, open the Settings app by tapping on the Settings app shortcut on the Home screen or Apps screen of your phone.

Just look for the gear-shaped icon on either screen then tap on it to launch the app.

  2. 2. In the Settings app menu, scroll to find Biometrics and security.

More advanced security features and options will load up on the next display.

  3. 3. Scroll down to the lower section then tap Secure Folder.

The Secure Folder welcome screen will load up next.

  4. 4. Read the quick notes then tap Continue at the bottom.

On the following menu, you will see more information about permission requirements for Secure Folder including permission to use Calendar, Contacts, Files and media, and Phone app.

  5. 5. Review all the details then tap Continue at the bottom.

The phone will then start creating a Secure Folder. The entire process typically takes a few minutes so just wait patiently.

  6. 6. If prompted, set your preferred lock type. You may opt to use a pattern, PIN, password and biometrics security like fingerprint.
For this guide, we'll choose a pattern so tap Pattern then draw  your unlock pattern twice to confirm and apply.

If you're aiming for higher security, setting a PIN or password is recommended. Simply tap to select your preferred Secure Folder lock type then follow the rest of the onscreen prompts to finish setting it up.
