This post will walk you through adding an email account on the newest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip device. Here’s a quick guide to set up email on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4.
Z Flip4 Email Account Setup
Similar to other prior Galaxy smartphones, the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 also allows you to set up email accounts automatically and manually.
With automatic email setup, you can immediately add your email account by simply responding to the questions provided by the setup wizard.
Manual email setup on the other hand would require you to configure important details for your email account such as the incoming server and outgoing mail server, SMTP server, port number, TLS/SSL and more. This is usually the case if you’re trying to set up IMAP and POP emails on your device.

Setting up an email account is one of the first things that you should consider doing when you get a hold of a new smartphone as it will grant you access to various apps and services.
If you’re here to get some input on how to add an email account on your new Samsung Flip phone, just refer to the subsequent instructions.
Steps to Set Up Email on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4
If you’re planning to manually set up your email account, be sure to ready all your account information including the incoming and outgoing servers. You can reach out to your carrier/email provider to verify your email server information and other relevant information that’s required to manually set up your email account.
Email accounts that can be set up automatically are Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft. Others will need to be set up and linked manually.
Before you begin, make sure that your phone is sufficiently charged and has a stable internet so there will be no problems syncing with the mail servers.
Once you’ve got everything ready, go ahead and proceed with these steps:
Step 1: To get started, launch the settings app by tapping on the Settings icon from the Home screen or Apps screen of your phone. Just look for the Gear icon and then tap on it to launch the app.
Step 2: While in the settings menu, scroll to find and then tap Accounts and backup. Doing so will take you to the accounts section where you can see relevant options to manage different types of accounts supported by your phone.
Step 3: Tap Manage accounts to continue. Another menu opens with a list of different options to manage accounts.
Step 4: Select the option to add a new account. Just tap + Add account to do so.
Step 5: On the succeeding window, you will be prompted with a list of different types of emails. Select the type of email that you’d like to add and set up on the phone.
Step 6: On the following screen, you will be asked to enter your email address. Just type your complete email address into the provided text field, tap Next then follow the rest of the onscreen instructions to finish the email setup process.
Should you wish to do a manual email setup, tap the option to Set Up Manually then follow then enter the required email details on the succeeding windows. Manual email setup is only optional though.
After adding/setting up your email account, you can set it as the default email for the Samsung Email, Gmail app, Yahoo or any email client you’re using. By then, your device should be all set to get and send email messages.
Just repeat the same steps to add other email accounts for use on the Gmail app or other email app you’ve got on your Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Is your email working as intended?
To check and see if it works, try to open your inbox and see if your email messages are updated. Also see if sending and receiving email functions are working. You can try creating a test email then send it to your own email account to see if you can receive it. Also try and see if you can send and receive attachments.
If you cannot send or receive email, quit then restart your email app. For as long as you’ve entered the correct email address of the recipient, the email should go through.
If you’re getting a specific error code or message, read and review the message to learn what went wrong and what needs to be done in order to correct it. You may also opt to troubleshoot the problem using basic tweaks and applicable workarounds.

Install New Updates Available
Installing the latest version of the email application in use is also recommended to ensure app’s stability and optimal performance.
If you’re using the stock Samsung email application, installing the latest firmware version available for your device is recommended. Software updates rolled out by Samsung usually contain essential patches to get rid of any existing bugs affecting in-built apps and services including Samsung Mail.
Also make sure that your phone is connected to the internet and that it’s getting a stable connection to avoid having issues syncing to your email server. If you’re connected through mobile data and you’re inbox is not updating, try switching to a Wi-Fi connection instead.
And that’s how you add email accounts on the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphone.
Hope this helps!
