Steps to Reset Keyboard Settings on Samsung Galaxy A13

The process of restoring factory defaults on the Galaxy A13’s Samsung keyboard application is similar to other Samsung Galaxy devices running on the same One UI version.

To ensure all key features and menu items are available, update your device software to the latest version available.

Once you’ve got everything set, you may go ahead and follow these steps:

Step 1: First, tap the Settings icon from the Home screen or Apps viewer to launch the settings app.

Step 2: In the main settings menu, find and then tap General management. Another menu opens with a list of relevant features.

Step 3: Find and then tap Samsung Keyboard settings to proceed.

Step 4: On the next screen, tap Reset to default settings.

Step 5: Another window opens with two available options. Select the option to Reset keyboard settings.

Step 6: Read the warning prompt and then tap Reset to confirm.

Performing this reset will delete all recent changes made to the Samsung keyboard app and then the default keyboard values are restored.

Alternatively, you can access the Samsung Keyboard settings straight from the app itself.

  • To do this, simply launch the Samsung keyboard app or any other app that uses Samsung keyboard and then tap on the Settings (gear) icon on the keyboard to get to the settings menu.

There you can reset individual keyboard options like size, themes, mode, symbols, etc. and get the default keyboard back.

So instead of resetting everything, you can just reset any of the keyboard attributes/elements individually.

Resetting Individual Keyboard Attributes in Samsung phones

To reset the Samsung keyboard size, open the Samsung Keyboard app settings menu then tap Size and transparency and tap the Reset button.

To reset the Samsung keyboard symbols, go to the Samsung keyboard app settings menu then tap Custom symbols. On the next screen, tap Reset on the top-rightmost corner to restore the default keyboard symbols.

To reset the Samsung Keyboard Theme, open the Samsung Keyboard app settings then go to Theme and then select the original theme that’s set for the app.

Alternatively, you can restore the default theme for the Samsung keyboard app by heading to the Galaxy Theme app.

To do this, simply go to Settings-> Themes menu and then tap the three-bar icon on the top-left corner of the Galaxy Themes screen. Select My Stuff from the side menu options and then tap on the Default theme to select it.

The above procedure is only applicable to the stock Samsung keyboard application. If you’ve changed the default keyboard app and use other keyboards like Gboard, Swiftkey, Chrooma, Go Keyboard, Fleksy, Android L Keyboard or TouchPal, the actual procedure may vary given that each of these apps has varying interface, features and menu items.

When to Reset Keyboard Settings?

Just like other reset commands, performing a keyboard reset is also deemed among other potential solutions to random glitches transpiring while using the keyboard application on the phone.

Samsung keyboard issues that instigated from a software update such as delayed key inputs, unresponsive keyboard, random keyboard crashes and keyboard loading errors can likewise be rectified by performing this reset.

It does not affect any user data so all your downloaded apps and files will stay available in the system.

And that’s all about restoring the Galaxy A13’s Samsung keyboard app to its factory state by triggering the built-in reset keyboard settings command.

Hope this helps!
