Instead of performing a total system reset through a factory reset or master reset, you can use a dedicated reset command to restore specific features and functions individually.

Depicted below is the actual process of performing a reset command for a Pixel 7 display feature called Adaptive brightness. Feel free to refer to this guide if you need help restoring factory defaults for the Google Pixel 7’s adaptive brightness feature.

Simply swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to launch the Apps tray then find the Settings icon from there.

More apps will load up on the next display.

Performing this reset usually comes in handy when faced with unexpected issues following a series of tweaks to the display settings, particularly when using Adaptive brightness.  This reset does not affect any other settings and saved information on the phone.

If the adaptive brightness reset still does not put things to work as intended, then you may have to consider opting for an all settings reset, if not, a total system reset to restore everything in the system back to its factory defaults. Just be sure to back up all important data from your Pixel phone beforehand so that you would still be able to retrieve and use them afterwards.

And that’s all about resetting the Google Pixel 7’s adaptive brightness settings.
