iPhone 7 Plus Takes Too Long To Open Apps In iOS 11
Problem: Hi, my iPhone 7 Plus has a big issue when running iOS 11 (any build including betas) . It takes very very long time to open apps, toggle options and dismiss messages. Third party apps work as usual just a bit slower but nothing that noticeable. This is not the only issue: sound is not working at all (speakers, headphones, Bluetooth and even microphone input), cannot listen to music, recorded videos are without audio, voice memo button is greyed out and the YouTube app doesn’t allow me to play videos at all. I am trying to solve in any possible way. Already formatted the iPhone through setting and iTunes but nothing changed, tried also forcing a hard reboot but it always comes where it starts. The only way to get my iPhone fully working is reverting back to iOS 10.3.3.
Solution: Sometimes when a new operating system is released the apps installed in your phone are not optimized yet to work on the new software version. What you will want to do in this case is to backup your phone data then erase your phone and set it up as a new device. Do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the native apps still open slowly. In case the issue persists then you should bring the phone to the nearest Apple Store and have it checked.
iPhone 7 Plus Takes Too Long To Respond
Problem: Hi! I have a iPhone 7 Plus it is 9 months old. And I have restored the software etc in the iPhone. But it takes forever to close out text message boxes. ( no sim installed) or (scroll down option boxes) almost every other process like opening apps and closing them. I have no issue. But it takes about 10-15 seconds to close out a box or for my touch to register. I have hard reset. Restored through dfu and iTunes. No luck. If you could help resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated
Solution: Since you already tried reseting the phone using iTunes and the issue still remains then this might already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
iPhone 7 Plus Slow When Connected To Wi-Fi
Problem: Very slow when connected to wifi. All other devices connected to same wifi work fine. My iPhone 6 Plus ran great on our home wifi even when I was outside. I can’t get the 7 plus to connect when in another room in the house from the router. This is very frustrating. BeriOn explained that some iPhone 7’s have an issue with this.
Solution: I suggest that you try connecting your phone to a different Wi-Fi network then check if the same issue occurs. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by your Wi-Fi network in which case you will need to check your router.
In case the problem still occurs when the phone is connected to another Wi-fi network then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Forget the Wi-Fi network on the phone then connect to it again.
- Restart the modem/router
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
