How to Remove an Account from a Moto G Smartphone

To remove an account from a Moto G smartphone, tap Apps to open the apps tray. Tap on Settings and go to Accounts. Select the desired account that you want to delete. Tap on Menu and select Remove account. Read further for more details. 

Removing an account on your Moto G phone should be easy. You might need to perform this action if you have a new account that you want to link or use for your device. Creating a new account is not new nowadays and everybody seems to be doing it. 

You may need to create a new account for backup purposes or if your old account is inaccessible anymore. Since most accounts, especially with Google accounts, are connected to android devices like Moto G, it is essential for you to know the process on how to delete an account on your smartphone.

  • Go into Settings > Accounts.
  • Tap on the account you wish to remove (Select Google for your android and play store account).
  • Tap on the email address.
  • Tap on the three vertical dots on the top-right corner.
  • Select “Remove Account”.

Your old account should be removed by now. Just use your new account so that you can download apps at the Google Play store or sync some important files and data.
