To move apps, create a folder, or simply move and organize iPhone 11 home screen layout, just touch and hold any app on the Home screen, then tap Edit Home Screen and it’ll begin to jiggle. To create a folder, drag an app over another app and drag other apps into the folder.
When you’re a new owner of the Apple iPhone 11, or any smartphone for that matter, you might not need to organize the icons on your home screen. But once you’ve started downloading applications and icons start to clutter on the screen, that’s when you start thinking of ways to organize the home screen or group together some apps.
You don’t have to worry though because your new iPhone allows you to move apps and create a folder to help in the organization of your apps. Continue reading below as I will guide you every step of the way on how to do these things.
Moving apps around the Home screen, into the Dock or to other page
Basically, these are the things you can do to rearrange the icons you want to see on a screen. These are pretty easy to do and very straightforward; just drag-and-drop.
Moving apps around
Step 1: Touch and hold an app icon until all icons start to jiggle. Don’t release the icon even if options show halfway through.
Step 2: Hold the app you want to move and drag it to the location you want.
Step 3: When you’re finished re-positioning the apps, tap Done.
Adding apps into the Dock
Step 1: Touch and hold an app icon until all icons start to jiggle.
Step 2: To add a new app on the Dock, you must remove one app because it only allows four.
Step 3: Once you’ve already removed an app, add the app you want to appear on the Dock.
Step 4: When finished, tap Done.
Moving apps to another page
Step 1: Touch and hold an app icon until all icons start to jiggle.
Step 2: Hold the app you want to move and drag it to the right or left edge of the screen, depending on where you want to move it.
Step 3: When finished, tap Done.
Creating a folder to organize apps on the Home screen
There are apps that are best grouped together so that you don’t have to go to other screens to find them. The best way to do that is by creating a folder and then move them all into that directory.
Step 1: Touch and hold an app icon until all icons start to jiggle. Don’t release the icon even if options show halfway through.
Step 2: To create a folder, drag an app onto another app.
Step 3: Drag other apps into the folder.
Step 4: Rename the folder into something you can easily identify.
Step 5: When finished, tap Done.
Resetting the Home screen to its original layout
If you’ve already made a lot of changes to the Home screen but you want to restore it to its original layout, then you can do that without easily.
Step 1: From the Home screen, tap Settings.
Step 2: Find and tap General.
Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and then touch Reset.
Step 4: Tap Reset Home Screen Layout.
Step 5: Tap Reset Home Screen to proceed.
When it comes to rearranging your Home screen the way you want, these are the things you can do. I hope these simple tutorials can help you.
