How to Get Rid of iPhone Fake Virus Pop Up

Solution

If you suddenly get a popup on your iPhone telling you to call a certain number, warning you that your iPhone is at risk, please DO NOT call the number at any moment. This is a spam popup originating from Safari, and we will show you exactly how to get rid of it. There is nothing infected or wrong with your iPhone, and removing the spam popup is very easy.

    • Turn OFF your iPhone by holding down the Home and Power button at the same time for 5 seconds.
    • Once the iPhone is OFF, you can power it back ON.
    • Go to Settings > Safari.
    • Scroll down and tap on Clear History and Website Data.
    • Turn off your iPhone, then turn it back on again.
  • The spam popup should now be completely gone and you should be able to use Safari with no issues.

If these procedures did not fix the problem and you’re still getting pop ups on your iPhone, try resetting all settings to its default values and configurations. Do not worry as it will not delete any personal information on your device.

Just access Settings from the Home screen and tap General. Scroll down to and then select Reset.  Tap the Reset All Settings option. Enter your device passcode once prompted. Then tap to confirm all settings reset. Your phone will reboot on its own to complete the reset process.

Saved Wi-Fi networks, Access Point Names (APNs) and other customized settings will be deleted so you’ll need to set them up again once the phone is back up and running.

Your last resort if all else fails is to wipe out all contents on your iPhone. Performing a factory reset will delete all stubborn errors on your device, including those that have been causing the iPhone fake virus pop up.

Before you do a master reset, make sure to create backups via iTunes or iCloud so that you can restore your important files and data later on.

If you’re ready, access Settings from the Home screen and tap General. Scroll down to and then select Reset. Tap the Erase all contents and settings option. Enter your device passcode once prompted. Then tap to confirm all settings reset.

Your iPhone will restart once the factory reset is completed. Set it up like a new one to use it again or restore your backup
