How To Fix The iPhone 6 Not Charging Issue

iPhone 6 Not Charging

Problem: I have a question about iphone 6. I received a iphone 6 with broken screen.  After replacing the screen(closed iphone) i put it on charge because phone was not used until it came in for repair. The lcd lights up and shows low battery icon.  I let it charge for a few hours. Then i want to power it up but nothing happens. No light no connection with Itunes.  Could it be the backlight fuse that is broken? i don’t think so because connection with itunes should work?  please advice thank in advance.

Solution: This is a complex problem since it involves a screen replacement thus a lot of factors can come into play as to what may be causing this. What you can do however is to try to use a different charger, use a different USB cord as well, when charging your device. Let your phone charge for 20 minutes then see if it turns on. If it doesn’t then check the charging port of your phone for any signs of dirt. Clean if necessary using a can of compressed air or cotton bud dipped in alcohol. Charge your phone again for 20 minutes.

If your phone still does not turn on then connect it to a computer running on iTunes.  If the phone can’t be detected then this may already be a hardware related problem. I suggest you bring the phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.

iPhone 6 Not Charging Draining Fast

Problem: About a month ago, the phone started dying really fast one day. That night it took about 20 minutes to get it to charge enough to power on and the next morning when I woke up it was very hot to the touch on charge. It’s not been right since. I’ve pretty much disabled all featured, had two new batteries installed. I’ve done hard reset, backed up from old backups, even done the dfu restore and set up as a new phone. Still the same problem. Will drop 20% an hour with no usage. If it ever completely drains it will take FOREVER to turn on. I’ve had it plugged up for 40 minutes now, no red battery icon, the white apple screen has flashed three times and goes back black. I bought it refurbed in March, no warranty, no apple store within 2 hours of my home. No water damage, never been dropped. 64 Gig with 62 Gigs left. Hardly anything on the phone, no music, maybe 150 pics, texts wiped often. iOS up to date. HELP!

Solution: This looks like a hardware related issue already. You’ve already done a factory reset and even replaced the battery twice but still the issue persists. I’m guessing some component inside your phone is draining the battery. The component could be shorted or faulty. I suggest bringing your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
