Troubleshooting iPhone XR without WiFi Internet

The occurrence of WiFi problems are usually tied to software glitches on the phone. Performing the following solutions will help clear out each of the causing factors.

First solution: Power cycle your wireless router/modem.

Working on the main source of your Internet connection is the best way to begin troubleshooting Internet problems on your iPhone. And this is when you will do some tweaks for your wireless router or modem. It is possible that the router/modem is experiencing random problems from firmware crashes, thus resulting to the internet connection becoming unstable. To rule out these flaws, power-cycling your modem is recommended. In case you’re wondering what “power-cycling” means and how it’s done, refer to these simplified steps:

  1. Locate the power switch on your modem/router then press or flip it to turn the equipment OFF.
  2. Then unplug the AC adapter from the power outlet for at least 60 seconds.
  3. After the elapsed time, plug the AC adapter again and press the Power switch to turn it ON.

Wait until the signal indicators on the router become stable. Then connect your iPhone XR to your wireless network and navigate through any websites on your browser to see if the internet connection is back. If the problem persists, try the other options as depicted by the following procedures.
