How to Block Text Messages on Samsung Galaxy Device

The steps below can be applied to Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Note 4, Samsung galaxy note 4 edge, grand prime or more. Here’s how you block a number from texting you.

  1. Go into Messages, then tap on the menu button in the top right corner.
  2. Then click Spam Messages.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap “Spam filter”.
  4. Turn Spam filter on and then go into “Add to spam numbers” to customize your block list.

Once you add numbers to your Spam List, you will not be receiving text messages from that number in your inbox anymore. Thus, you can remove the phone numbers from your block list anytime you want. As a result, you will start receiving text messages from these phone numbers again.
