How To Fix Google Pixel 4a Mobile Data That’s Not Working (Android 11)

In this troubleshooting guide, we will show you how to fix the Google Pixel 4a mobile data that stopped working. We will look into all the possibilities and then rule them out one by one until we can determine the reason why such a problem occurred and fix it. Read on to learn more about it.

Network issues aren’t really that common but they occur every now and then. Most of the time, they’re pretty minor that even a simple reboot would fix them. However, if such a problem occurs out of the blue, then here’s what you should do:

First solution: Force restart your phone

If the service was working properly prior to this problem, then it’s possible that it’s just a pretty minor firmware-related problem. It might even be just because of a glitch. So the first thing you should do is refresh your phone’s memory by doing the forced restart. Here’s how:

  1. Press and hold the Power key for 8 seconds. This will trigger your phone to shut down and power back up.
  2. Once the Google logo shows, release the Power key and wait until the device finishes the reboot.

Once the restart is finished, try to see if mobile data is now working.

Second solution: Check the signal reception

After doing the forced restart and mobile data is still not working on your Pixel 4a, what you have to do next is make sure it has a good reception.

Take a look at the signal indicator to know how many bars your phone can get. If you only have one bar, or even two, then that might be the reason why it’s not working properly. You have to rule out such a possibility by going to an area where there’s good signal reception.

But assuming your phone gets about 3 bars or more and mobile data is still not working, then move on to the next solution.

Third solution: Reset network services

At this point, it’s time for you to reset the network settings of your phone. This will bring all the wireless services back to their default configuration. This has been proven to be effective in fixing issues like this. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app.
  2. Tap System.
  3. Tap Advanced.
  4. Tap Reset options, and then tap Reset Wi-Fi, mobile and Bluetooth.
  5. Tap Reset settings at the lower-right corner.
  6. If prompted, enter your screen lock.
  7. Tap Reset settings again at the lower-right corner.

After resetting network settings, try to see if mobile data is now working on your phone.

Fourth solution: Factory reset your phone

If the mobile data service is still not working properly after the first three solutions, then it’s time to reset your device. A reset should be able to fix this problem as long as it’s not an issue with the network. But before that, back up your important files, and when ready, follow these steps:

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app.
  2. Tap System.
  3. Tap Advanced.
  4. Tap Reset options, and then tap Erase all data.
  5. Tap Erase all data at the bottom right corner of the screen. If needed, enter your PIN, pattern, or password.
  6. To erase all data from your phone’s internal storage, tap Erase all data.

After the reset, set up your phone as a new device. The problem should be fixed by now. If not, then call your service provider as it might be a network problem.

And that’s what you need to do to fix Google Pixel 4a mobile data that stopped working. We hope that this simple troubleshooting guide has been helpful.
