By default, the Samsung Secure Folder app appears as a purple folder with a lock in the middle. But in case you don’t like its original appearance, you can make necessary changes to the secure folder elements like color, name, and icon, to make the folder appear on your Home or App screen the way you wanted.

And if ever you need some input on how to get all these things done on your Galaxy Z Flip4 secure folder, the following steps will help you get started.

Before you can proceed, verify and ensure that the Secure Folder app is already set up on your device. If you haven’t already, then you need to set it up beforehand.

Once you’ve got everything set, you may go ahead and proceed with these steps.

  1. First, launch the Secure Folder application. It’s typically lined up among other app shortcuts in the Apps screen of your phone.

Just look for the purple folder icon with a lock in the middle then tap on it to open.

If prompted, enter your credentials like a PIN, pattern or password to unlock and access the Secure Folder app menu.

  2. While in the Secure Folder main screen, tap the three dots on the mid-right corner.

Doing so opens a side menu with a number of options.

  3. Tap Customize from the given options to proceed.

On the succeeding window, you will see different customization options including custom name, custom colors, and custom icons that you can use.

  4. To change the folder name, delete the current name in the Custom Folder name field then type in the new name that you’d like to assign to the folder.

You can use any name you want for as long as the characters are supported.

  5. To change the default color, select any other color from the given colors.

Just tap to mark your preferred color to use.

  6. To change the default icon, tap any of the available icons.

Choose an icon that’s more relevant to the content it stores.

  7. Once you’re done making necessary changes, tap Apply.

The new changes will then be saved and applied to the Secure Folder application.

These changes should immediately reflect on the Secure Folder app’s shortcut from the Home or Apps screen of your phone.

Should you wish to make additional changes to your custom Secure Folder, just repeat the same steps to return to the Secure Folder app settings menu where you can find the customization controls. Don’t forget to save the new changes you’ll make so that it will be applied to the folder.

And if for some reason, the Secure Folder is messed up after applying a series of alterations to any of the folder attributes, there’s also an option for you to reset and restore the folder’s default elements.

And that’s how you customize the Samsung Secure Folder application on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphone.
