How to Adjust Screen Recording Quality on Galaxy Z Flip4

This post will walk you through configuring the One UI feature to enhance the quality of the screen recordings on the most recent Samsung Flip smartphone. Here’s a quick guide to adjust the screen recording quality on the Galaxy Z Flip4.

Time Needed : 3 minutes

Screen recordings that are captured and saved in the Galaxy Z Flip4 camera gallery are of high quality. By default, the quality for screen recordings is set with a 1080p resolution. In other words, these video recordings are of full high-definition (HD) modes that are 1920×1080. This is by far the widely used HDTV format, eclipsing the 720p.

Samsung however, made this setting modifiable by end-users. That said, you can change it and use another video quality that would best suit your needs.

If you’re new to this Samsung flip smartphone and need some input on how to manage and configure this setting, then you may go ahead and refer to these outlined instructions.

  1. When ready, open the Settings app by tapping on its icon from the Home screen or Apps screen of your phone.

Just look for the gear-shaped icon on either screen then tap on it to get to the settings app menu.

  2. In the Settings menu, scroll to find then tap Advanced features.

Doing so launches another menu with the phone’s preloaded advanced features.

  3. Find Screenshots and screen recorder then tap on it to proceed.

Another set of features and options related to screenshots and screen recorder management will load up on the next window.

  4. Navigate to the Screen recorder section then tap Video quality.

A pop-up menu opens with a few quality options including High, Medium and Low.

  5. By default, the video quality for screen recordings is set to High (1080p) thus you’ll see that it’s marked with a check next to it.

To change this, just tap to select any from the given options such as Medium (720p) and Low (480p).

The recent changes you’ve made will immediately take effect on the next screen recordings you’ll create and save on your device.

Should you need to change the video quality again, just repeat the same steps to return to the screenshots and screen recording menu then choose the video quality that you’d like to use for your next screen recordings.

Pros of Low Quality Videos

One advantage of using low resolution images and videos is the file size which is smaller. Thus, saving low quality screen recordings only takes up less space.

Another good thing about using low resolution videos and images is that they load quicker. This can be deemed a great solution for email and other digital solutions where detail required for printing is not needed.

And that’s how you adjust the quality of screen recordings with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 camera.
