Added contacts will be tagged under Personal emergency contacts. When you’re in an emergency situation, you can call these contacts even when your phone is locked.

All new changes made to the emergency contacts will also be saved to all storage locations of your phone.

  • To remove someone from your emergency contacts group, just repeat the same steps to return to the Emergency contacts menu then tap the Minus (-) sign next to the contact that you’d like to remove.

Aside from placing calls, you can also send messages and email to your emergency contacts.

All Set for SOS Messages

After adding emergency contacts, the next thing you should do is to set up the emergency SOS feature on your Samsung smartphone.

Doing so will allow you to send emergency alerts or messages to your emergency contacts by successively pressing the Side/Power button on your phone, three or four times.

Key information including your current location will then be relayed to your emergency contacts, letting them know that you’re in an emergency situation and need immediate assistance.

An SOS message usually contains a link to the sender’s location in the form of an address and a map. Photos of the scene can also be embedded in the message as well as a five-second audio clip.

And that’s all about adding an emergency contact to receive alerts or notifications from your Galaxy Z Flip4 during emergency situations.
