Two iPhones receiving the same phonecall at the same time. Receiving incoming calls on two different iphones. Calls coming in on mulitple ios devices. Incoming calls showing up on multiple iphones or ipads.
A bug has been found in the new Voice Continuity feature of iOS 8. According to Apple’s release, continuity should work from iPhone to Mac, iPod or iPad.
The issue that has been discovered is that it seems to be working from iPhone to iPhone, given they are on the same Wi-Fi network and have logged into the same Apple ID’s. To fix this problem:
- Touch Settings
- Touch FaceTime
- Turn iPhone Cellular Calls OFF
- Note: In order for the option to enable iPhone Cellular Calls to appear, the device has to recognize another on the network. For this to happen the devices must be signed into iCloud and Facetime or it will not display this toggle.
The Recommended Simple Solution: Use Different Apple ID Logins on Each iPhone
